Morning Thanks

Garrison Keillor once said we'd all be better off if we all started the day by giving thanks for just one thing. I'll try.

The Flint Hills of Kansas

The last and largest tall-grass prairie in the states. This wet year, as emerald as a dream.

Most of our young children today are preoccupied with television, cell phones, computers, tablets and an array of electronic gadgets. Nature is a gift from God that points us to Him... many are missing out on this blessing...

JCS, fifty-five years ago we pedaled our bikes past Poodle's Corner 4-5 miles [one-way] down to the mighty Onion River at 5 AM each day to check our traps. We experienced many sun rises, rains storms and crisp morning frosts together. Your pics reflect the love of nature that was imbedded in our souls way back then. Thanks!

I am sure those that read this will think this anecdote is exaggerated or a big whopper... wrong... it is 100% true!

Heck... we were even in-shape...

You're absolutely right, Romey, although it wasn't four or five miles one way--AND your mom used to take us on really cold mornings!
