Ten years ago, a colleague and I led an excursion west of here, into the Great Plains--the mandate? to meet and greet one of the continent's most stunning regions, a place blessed with huge skies and endless ranges.
When I look at these photographs from that experience, I am--even today, a decade ago--still wondrously blessed.
Every year at Yellowstone, someone gets hurt by the monarchs of the plains. We made it through without injury and all of us were greatly blessed.
