Morning Thanks

Garrison Keillor once said we'd all be better off if we all started the day by giving thanks for just one thing. I'll try.

Free to a Good Canadian Home

Through the years, I have accumulated tons of books. Last summer's flood relieved me of at least one ton of them, but there are more, lots more.

I'm almost sure I bought this one myself or somehow picked it up. I'm quite sure there was a time in my life that I thought of myself as a budding bibliophile. And now, alas, the time has come to pay for my aspirations--"what to do with them". . .

This is a toy book, as fat as it tall, just a little thing, scrappy, well-read. Alas, too, it lacks a spine, which is not to slight the great heroes of the novel. There are pictures too, by the way.

Given what America has done to Canada--well, a certain Orange King here anyway--I'd like to do at least one Canadian a favor. I'll send you the book, a gift, if you send me your address. How's that for peace-making?

Cute little book about the Mounties :). Free to a good Canadian home.

P. S. And thanks for last night. The Orange guy had that coming!
