[Spurgeon & others] A three-legged stool of sorts.<br /><br />In addition, Psalms gives me a vivid picture of the roller-coaster life David lived and his relationship with his "Father who art in heaven". It reminds me of the ups and downs of my own life and the moment by moment need to stay in touch with my Father… <br /><br />David's relationship with his Father in heaven looks and sounds like a son and earthly Father engaging in base "eye ball to eye ball" discourse. David's tone, at times, was demanding and other times portrayed an up and down emotional and spiritual life and overt need for his Father. He was either praising God, begging for forgiveness, or thanking Him for His comfort and support. Almost manic at times but totally human.
