I'm painfully aware that tons of Great Lakes-ers have had waaaaaaay too much snow this winter, but when it drops so slowly from a featherbed sky, it's so gorgeous, if you come from the plains. We've got snow here, but it's only in cracks and crevices, where it can hide from the wind that's been taking off faces all winter long out here.
I'm guessing these pics can only be enjoyed by people from out here, people who don't see lake effect snow, who don't get dumped on, who don't have to shovel, blow it, push it away.
Count me among the Plains people.
We stayed here, at the Starkenburgs, East Palmyra, NY, for several days last week, and were graciously treated to a wondrous, windless storm. It was simply beautiful.
