Morning Thanks

Garrison Keillor once said we'd all be better off if we all started the day by giving thanks for just one thing. I'll try.

Saturday morning's catch

'Twas a warm dawn for January, barely a cloud in sight. The sun rose like molten gold, and I was simply out on the gravel somewhere south of Granville. I think it's time I hit one good some morning soon. This morning's catch won't feed us supper. But I fool around a little, which makes photography more of a cheat than real fishing.

This one is filtered to make it look like a watercolor. Cliche' Iowa, I know, but still kind of striking.

Not much here really either, just some cross current lines that seemed warm. Hey, it's January--nothing's bitin'.
